Guys & Gals .... It's a sad day for all of us @ The Heritage Station Hotel Kuala Lumpur. We regret to inform you that The Heritage Station Hotel, Kuala Lumpur has ceased operations with effect from 31st May 2010. We thank you all for your patronage and support of our old hotel and of course our National Heritage here in Malaysia. We hope that the new operator, if any, will undertake to continue our crusade of promoting this building of National Heritage, and we hope that they will make it accessible to all. We have put alot of our heart and soul into this grand old Hotel, and it was fun while it lasted.

Bridal Guide .... Vol 11!

Great .... This is a posting from BRIDAL GUIDE MAGAZINE, MALAYSIA, from way back in 2009 .... problem was, this magazine was much wider than my scanner!!! Not only that, why does everyone credit us as HERITAGE HOTEL? Goodness, we are THE HERITAGE STATION HOTEL!!! Heritage Hotel is another property in Perak and in NO RELATION TO US!!! HotelClub Awards 2009

All of us at The Heritage Station Hotel, Kuala Lumpur were very surprised to have received an email from HotelClub stating that we were one of the finalist for The Best Hotel in Malaysia. WHAT? You don't believe it? Well, neither do we .... Yes, it has been an extremely interesting year here for us in the Hotel, but to be nominated for an award? Hurm ... very interesting .... Deep down inside, we know that we won't stand a chance as we were up against 3-5 Star Hotels and Resorts, so we were extremely elated to be a Finalist in HotelClub Awards 2009! More importantly, we would like to thank all of you for your support and for voting for us! We know that we have more work to do and we definitely look forward to more interesting things ahead for the year 2010!

Once again, we would like to thank all of you who had supported and voted for us! Our Boss went down to Singapore on 25 November 2009 to receive our certificate as one of the most popular hotels in Asia! Even he was pleasantly surprised (pleasantly shocked is more likely)! On behalf of the owner, management and staff of The Heritage Station Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, we cannot thank you enough and yes, we know we have a lot more work cut out for us in the near future!

The Indonesian Connection ......

It is very surprising that we got a lot of emails coming from all over the world, in fact our prewedding photography efforts seemed to be gaining a life of its own as we are trying so hard to promote Bangunan Stesen Keretapi (K.L. Train Station lar .....) right here in Kuala Lumpur within our meager means We have had applications from India, The Middle East right up to England and Norway! This is really very strange! Recently we got an application from Indonesia and the couple Wawan & Hanna wanted to bring the entire team up from Indonesia to have their shoot here! Oh dear ... we were contacted by their photographer Houward Pogijanto from The House of Viin, Palembang, Indonesia .... Wah ... the entire team came to the hotel just for their pre wedding photoshoot! Goodness!!

I will leave you with an excerpt of the email from Houward (we have edited bits and pieces of it) ....

Hi Lloyd,

Thank you so much for allowing me to shoot at Heritage Station Hotel. It was my first time trip to KL. We Love our trip there. Anyway, here are some samples from our shoot at your location. Too bad, the weather didn't cooperate on that day and unfortunately we only had that day to shoot. So, we had to make do what possible during the rain :(. We definitely will go back to KL. Hopefully our next trip would give us better weather :). Attached are 6 photos to keep our promise :P Hope you like our take on your location. Celebrating The Return of Amy Tan. So, JUST DANCE!

I am very surprised to be blogging about this Lovely Lady again ... they have been so active that I too am pleasantly taken a back! In fact, this is the third time I am writing about Amy Tan, who first contacted me, The Hotel Station Master (gosh, soon to be relinquished, but I like that title ... hee hee) on 07 May 2008 (our article here) and again on 14 September 2008 (our article here) when I wrote an ode to Amy and here Hubby, Tony, using My Fairlady's song lyrics .....

Anyone remember this sweet petite lady?

Little did I know our paths met further down the road. When my wifey and I were having a little more time to ourselves, we actually did take SALSA DANCE lessons from New Star Studio by Jenni Tan at Taman Desa (what! you surprised? I was conned into it by wifey & friends). And yes, I was surprised that I rather did enjoy my dance lessons ... ha ha ha ... anyway, there was a day when I walked into the Studio and there we had a smiling Jenni asking me to get a copy of a newly released magazine .. JUST DANCE!

I thought nothing much of it at that time ... but a few weeks later, I had that same mysterious call with that same lovely voice calling me .... Believe it or not, it was AMY TAN!!! Argh!!! Oozing with her sweet charm, she asked if she could send a team from her new Magazine JUST DANCE! to The Heritage Station Hotel, Kuala Lumpur for a photo shoot! Argh!!! How can anyone refuse her sweet cutesy charms??? I better go find a bomoh or something quick! Ha ha ha ....

And so, here we showcase CHAMPION DANCERS from JUST DANCE! Magazine Oct/Nov 2009 issue. that were taken at The Heritage Station Hotel, Kuala Lumpur! I really love to watch (and dance some basic Salsa) cause in my younger years I was actually involved with the Dance Community, so if you would like to try some dancing (it's fun and really good exercise too!), choose your dance style, and a good place to go is JUST DANCE!'s Facebook Page! Amy, you are just so irresistible!!! Ha ha ha .....
